When Porsche builds a car, most factory-option software is already present on every module — it's simply dormant unless the correct Feature Software Code (FSC) is written to the PCMnor relevant control unit. The FSC is a cryptographically signed token, tied to your specific VIN, that permanently enables the feature at firmware level.
Because each code is unique to a VIN and digitally signed, a genuine FSC is the only method that activates features cleanly — no EEPROM hacks, no aftermarket workarounds, no risk of software rejections on the next dealer update.

We cross-reference your VIN against the car's build data to confirm the feature is activatable. If it is, we generate the signed FSC. Turnaround is typically under 1 hour on a working day.
Step 03
We send the FSC directly to you or to your workshop. Any Porsche specialist with PIWIS can write it to your car in minutes — it's a standard PIWIS operation. The feature is then live, permanently, at module level.
Common questions
A genuine FSC code is the factory-authorised method of activating features. Because it's generated through Porsche AG's own infrastructure and applied via PIWIS, it's indistinguishable from a dealer activation — there is no aftermarket signature or modification to the firmware that could trigger a warranty concern.
Any independent workshop with genuine PIWIS can apply the code — it's a standard function in the PIWIS software and takes a matter of minutes. You don't need a main dealer. If you don't have a local Porsche specialist, let us know and we can suggest options.
We check compatibility before we charge you anything. If your VIN's build spec doesn't support the feature — because the hardware was never fitted — we'll tell you upfront and suggest alternatives where they exist. There's no cost for the compatibility check.
